Minimally Hybrid: What does it mean at CoPA?
As Interim Provost Browner stated in the email, Update on Our Planning for the Spring Term most courses at The New School will be taught online. The New School will be offering one course, open to students at CoPA, that will include an in-person component. At The College of Performing Arts, all courses, lessons, and other academic activities will remain online. We will continue to phase in more and more in-person work as it becomes safe to do so.
As of today, students who wish to use facilities are able to in either an individual or small ensemble format, provided masks are properly worn at all times and that you adhere to all campus safety protocols (for more information on space at CoPA, click here. Should the New York City infection rate drop to the point where it becomes safe to allow for unmasked activities, larger groups, or even coursework to occur on-site, we will be prepared to make these adjustments.
At CoPA, we remain steadfast in our commitment to prioritizing the health, safety, and wellness of each member of our community, while still continuing to ensure that your creative, artistic, and intellectual growth continues. We are inspired by the work that we have seen this semester thus far, as well as the spirit and energy of this community.
